Variable Frame Rate
From CCCP
(Redirected from VFR)
Variable Frame Rate is when a video doesn't play at one constant framerate. This means that the video changes framerate during playback.
Common scenarios for this are in anime opening and ending songs. Many a time the Opening/Ending will run at 29.970FPS while the rest of the show will run at 23.976FPS. There are of course exceptions, such as pans that often run at 29.970FPS.
