Problem with rear speakers on mkv files

(1/1)

near_parker:
Hi. The probles is the next:

I have a 5.1 channel system, all the drivers are installed, when i open mp4 or mp3 files the sound is good, from the stereo speakers, center and rear speakers, but when i open an mkv file just the stereo speakers sounds.

I already try this.
Do a reset of settings. (Start> Combined...> CCCP Settings> Next> Tick Reset and Re-register filters> Apply> Yes> Yes)

Set the number of speakers you have on the first page of the CCCP Settings application.

Try play a video or audio that is 5.1ch. If you have none, try the 'expand stereo to surround' option in FFDShow Audio Decoder configuration. (Start> Combined...>Filters-> FFDShow Audio...> Mixer)

The ffdshow audio decoder logo does not appear on the corner of the screen and i don't know what to do.

Please a little help with this and thank you.

PD: i don't know how to make the log whit all the specifications, sorry.

Please do step one below:

1. Open the video in MPC-HC and tell me what items are listed in the menu: 'Play-> Filters.'

Please make sure that you are using the version of MPC-HC that CCCP has installed: Start-> Programs-> Combined Community Codec Pack-> Media Player Classic Homecinema.

After reinstallation, set the number of speakers again and then open ffdshow audio decoder configuration and you can try tick the "Dolby decoder" under Processing in there to expand stereo to 5.1 speakers.
