MPCHC crashes when trying to stream .ogg audio files
« on: July 06, 2012, 02:13:26 PM »

Hi!

I have the latest version of CCCP (2011-11-11) installed on a Windows 7 64-bit machine. It crashes when I try to stream .ogg audio files.

Here are the steps I take:
1. Start MHCHC.
2. Press Ctrl + O.
3. Paste any of these URLs into the Open field:
    http://podcast.ubuntu-uk.org/download/uupc_s05e10.ogg
    http://www.tuxradar.com/files/podcast/tuxradar_s04e12.ogg
    http://www.podtrac.com/pts/redirect.ogg/traffic.libsyn.com/jupiterbroadcasting/linuxactionshowep216-ogg.ogg
    http://mintcast.org/wp-content/uploads/mintcast_published/mintcast121.ogg
4. Press OK and see the program crash.

.ogv video files neither seem to work. For an example, try to open: http://archive.org/download/RaspberryPiFirstLookLasS22e06/linuxactionshowep216.ogv
It doesn't crash, but it seems to stop respond and only says "Opening...".

However, files such as .mp3 and .mp4 work flawlessly for me.

Hmm, not sure but maybe Haali Media Splitter doesn't seem to like those links though it seems to work if that is disabled on the second page of the CCCP Settings application (falls back to MPC-HC's internal OGG splitter).

That ogv video works fine here for me though.

When asking for help, please do the following:
1. Open the video in MPC-HC and tell me what items are listed in the menu: 'Play-> Filters.'
Download the CCCP Insurgent and:
2. Tools > Media Information > "problem file"
3. Tools > Test Render > "problem file"
4. Tools > CRC Check > "problem file"
5. File > Save Log
6. Open the log you just saved in Notepad and copy the entire contents into your next post.
