resolution issue
« on: May 24, 2012, 05:22:51 AM »

long story short, lm having issues with settings relating to the video resolution, without editing settings l see a letterbox shaped video in the centre of the screen which prompted me to edit the resolution settings of the ffdshow video decoder to match my screen resolution which does work, however very occasionally large subs go off the edge of the screen and are sometimes a little too bunched up meaning its hard to read..

current settings dont bother me but it would be interesting to know if there were better settings than l currently have set, as before everything worked fine, but since l upgraded my system (video card didnt change) its been slightly weird.

these are the only settings lve changed

Try turn that off and then check the following in MPC-HC: View-> Video Frame-> Touch from inside.

When asking for help, please do the following:
1. Open the video in MPC-HC and tell me what items are listed in the menu: 'Play-> Filters.'
Download the CCCP Insurgent and:
2. Tools > Media Information > "problem file"
3. Tools > Test Render > "problem file"
4. Tools > CRC Check > "problem file"
5. File > Save Log
6. Open the log you just saved in Notepad and copy the entire contents into your next post.
