There isn't really a good reason to use xy-VSFilter when encoding, but it should work.

For anybody who missed it, I pushed out xy-VSFilter 3.0.0.2 Test yesterday which fixes a parser crash on invalid tags and includes the MFC bloat fixes.

Is there any chance to see your vsfilter to be implemented in the next version of CCCP?
I've to say that it works better than the one that is currently installed with the latest CCCP.

At the very least, Issue #75 and Issue #81 would need to be fixed first, but details of when exactly x_xy_y2 plans to return are still unknown.

As he left it, it could still be a few more months.

New stable build incoming later today which fixes the remaining critical issues (#75, #78, #81) in xy-VSFilter.

Assuming I don't notice any new issues, it will be released as xy-VSFilter 3.0.0.6 (Commit: 2133ab5cb7e7eb04da2a1ae725f3089cff51e6d4).

As chance would have it, I discovered an old VOBSUB bug dating back to October 2011, which nobody ever reported.

The release I planned for tonight is tentatively on-hold until I hear back from x_xy_y2. At this point the project still officially on hiatus, so it may turn out that 3.0.0.6 gets released as a test build with a stable at some later date. We'll see.

If it is just in vobsub and nobody complained yet, I think you can as well release it with a "known issue" listed in release notes.

Assuming it doesn't break playback completely, eat user's dog or delete his porn...

x_xy_y2 said he'll be able to look into the VOBSUB bug this coming Sunday. If he has luck getting it fixed, I'll push out a new stable build to GoogleCode that night.

In the meantime, I've decided to temporarily post 3.0.0.6 here on the CCCP forums as a preview release:

Test it out, report any bugs unique to this build in this thread, and be prepared to update to the new stable build which will hopefully be released next week.

Testing it and there is one bug, but this one is because CCCP is using an outdated FFDShow.
When setting xy-vsfilter to always load and playing an AVI file without external sub or subs at all you get this:

If there is an external sub then it works perfectly.
It also works perfectly after having updated ffdshow or when using LAV/madvr as video decoder.

Not that I am saying that CCCP's ffdshow isn't outdated but what resolution and codec for that video?
