Trouble with FLV Audio in MPC
« on: June 29, 2011, 02:44:30 AM »

Hello, everyone! :)

I just want to start by saying that CCCP has been a godsend for me - I've never been the most technically minded person, and I've found that CCCP manages to install and organize so many things I'd never know to do on my own. So thanks to everyone working on it! :)

Unfortunately, I've recently had a bit of trouble with certain FLV files in Media Player Classic (Windows XP) - there doesn't seem to be any particular pattern, but when I click on particular files, I get video but no audio. I get a message that MPC can't render some pins and a codec might be missing, and then this:

(click to show/hide)

Going by instructions in other posts, I've made sure that libavcodec is enabled in FFDshow, and I've installed the latest version of CCCP. But the same message keeps coming up.

I ran CCCP Insurgent on the file and this was the result:

(click to show/hide)

If anything, most people seem to have the opposite problem (audio but no video) so I'm completely stumped. Any suggestions would be most welcome! :)

Try unregister or rename the following:
Filter 2: Nero FLV Splitter
Filename: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeFLVSplitter.ax

You can unregister using the CCCP Insurgent. (green bubble on the CCCP home page)
Tools-> Advanced, select the Nero FLV Splitter and unregister it.

When asking for help, please do the following:
1. Open the video in MPC-HC and tell me what items are listed in the menu: 'Play-> Filters.'
Download the CCCP Insurgent and:
2. Tools > Media Information > "problem file"
3. Tools > Test Render > "problem file"
4. Tools > CRC Check > "problem file"
5. File > Save Log
6. Open the log you just saved in Notepad and copy the entire contents into your next post.

I'm afraid that had no effect - the same message pops up again...

Could you please post a sample video?

Also, you could probably try LAV Splitter: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=156191
(Untick FLV in MPC-HC: View-> Options-> Internal Filters)

I'm sorry, I don't understand - is LAV Splitter a separate program? Because I would prefer to use MPC for these files.

The clip I'm referring to is here: http://i.crackedcdn.com/phpimages/videos/6/9/7/66697_608X342.flv

Try set "Other ADPCM" in "ffdshow audio configuration" to libavcodec and that should be enough.

LAV Splitter is kind of like a program that MPC-HC can use, however after checking the file it seems you won't need it.
