Hi All,

I am unable to play downloaded .flv videos after the recent Windows update. I have checked with the add-on developer, he suspected it was a Windows Media Player bug. But Microsoft was not able to resolve this issue.

The error code is as follows:

(heading)

"Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger"

(message)

"An unhandled win32 exception occurred in wmplayer.exe [3544]. Just-In-Time debugging this exception failed with the following error: No installed debugger has Just-In-Time debugging enabled. In Visual Studio, Just-In-Time debugging can be enabled from Tools/Options/Debugging/Just-In-Time.

Check the documentation index for 'Just-In-Time debugging, errors' for more information."

The error code in [] changes every time when I tried to play the video.

Anyone has any idea on what is going on?

Thank you.

What version of Windows, etc? Please post a CCCP Insurgent log with Test Renders(tools menu, then file-> save log).

1. Open the video in MPC-HC and tell me what items are listed in the menu: 'Play-> Filters.'
Download the CCCP Insurgent and:
2. Tools > Media Information > "problem file"
3. Tools > Test Render > "problem file"
4. Tools > CRC Check > "problem file"
5. File > Save Log
6. Open the log you just saved in Notepad and copy the entire contents into your next post.

My desktop is using Windows XP Professional, my laptop is using Windows 7 Professional and both are 32 bits.

Please teach me how to generate and post the CCCP Insurgent log with Test Renders, as I have not done before.

Thank you.

Do both your laptop and desktop experience the same error?

The CCCP Insurgent can be found on the CCCP homepage in the green bubble.
Download and open the exe and then check the menus. In the tools menu, you will find Test Render. Click that and then let it check your flv file. While in the Tools menu, you can also check Media Information for the file.
After you do those two, click File-> Save log. This will save a txt file which you can upload somewhere or post on the forum.

Yeap, both my desktop and laptop experience the same problem.

I downloaded the CCCP Insurgent software to my desktop, when I clicked Tools -> Test render, a new window pop up for me to select a video file. Which video file should I select? The one which creates the error message?

You would pick the flv file which is experiencing the issue. Is it that some flv files are working and some are not, or are all flv files not working?

I have checked with the add-on developer
What add-on is this?

The .flv files that are downloaded after the recent Windows update are unable to play, the rest of the .flv videos are unaffected.

And the add-on is FlashGot and the internet browser is Mozilla Firefox.

I will try to upload the log report in 1 hour as I have deleted the file, else I will upload tomorrow.

In that case, please also upload a copy of one of the unplayable flv files. Perhaps to a free filehosting website such as mediafire or to megaupload.

I have a bad news, I am unable to generate the CCCP Insurgent log with Test Renders as the error message, mentioned above, appeared when the software tried to generate the report.

Can I send the unplayable flv file through Dropbox?

Haali Media Splitter crashes with this file.
A way to play this is by using a different splitter. :p

Download the alternative splitter: http://www.mediafire.com/?oeg34rurraq88bs
Unzip it somewhere it can stay and then run the installer. Alternatively, you can move the file to "C:\Windows\System32" and run the installer.

Then, prevent Haali Media Splitter from working on MP4. Open the CCCP Settings application(Start-> Combined Community Codec Pack-> CCCP Settings) and untick 'Enable MP4' on the second page.
That should be workable.

will there be any implications if I disable the Haali Media Splitter completely? as I don't want to install any additional media splitter.

You lose support for MKV, OGM.

as I don't want to install any additional media splitter.
You could also use Media Player Classic Homecinema's internal MP4 splitter (the above splitter is the same thing, but external to MPC-HC), but for that you have to use Media Player Classic Homecinema.

As far as I know, I have already offered the simplest solution for your issue in particular.
