Is there a solution for Windows 7 64-bit MKV thumbnails?
dullahan8:
;( I didn't see any thumbnails being generated in MPC's Open File dialogue, it's not a proper solution anyway. I want to see thumbnails as I browse through my folders and then double-click to open what I want.

I just came on see if there was an update and came across this post. I am replying becuase this is something that bugged me for the longest time, and I am not here to promote other codec packs.
It all depends on if you can figure out whatever shark007 puts in their codec pack for mkv thumbnails. I run Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, and I get thumbnails for all of my mkv files. I also get them for mp4 files. Whatever it is they used, it does a pretty good job. I think I had some thumbnails with CCCP, but I didn't get as many. Hopefully I will see regular codec pack updates again from CCCP in the future with better thumbnail support. I can't live without my thumbnails.

I have thumbnails for MKV files (H.264) on Windows 7 x64.
