MKV 1080p Video and Audio out of sync problem
« on: October 12, 2008, 10:20:23 AM »

Hello CCCP people.

Recently I downloaded The Incredible Hulk 1080p, when I went to play it on my desktop the audio and video were out of sync. I uninstalled the CCCP and installed the last ones but nothing. I don't have anything activated only the subs.

The weird thing is that my desktop, in my opinion, is a really good desktop.

I have a Geforce 8600GT
Processor: Phenom 9550 Quad Core
RAM: 2Gb DDR2 Kingston 800Mhz

My player is BS Player and audio filter is AC3 Filter.

If anybody can help me with some configuration I would be very grateful.

Thank you very much :D

First, don't use BSPlayer. It's an "insane" player.
Second, uninstall AC3Filter.
Third, try CoreAVC: http://www.cccp-project.net/wiki/index.php?title=CoreAVC

Switch to MPC-HC included in CCCP. Also I would update your audio drivers to the latest version from Realtek.

Hi Raijinshou

I allready install the CoreAVC trial and deactivate the H264/AVC on CCCP Settings. But all players says that cannot play MKV files.

When I Installed the CoreAVC i did what Wiki says

    *  Install CoreAVC. In the installer options, uncheck "Haali Media Splitter".
    * Disable FFDShow's H.264 decoding by going to the CCCP settings manager (Start -> Programs -> Combined Community Codec Pack -> Settings) and unchecking H.264, and then pressing Next and then Apply. If you are using a separate FFDShow install, you need to go to its video decoder settings, click the Codecs entry in the list to the left, find the H.264 entry in the grid, and change it from "libavcodec" to "disabled".

But nothing. ZoomPlayer says that cannot play this files because there are missing filters or plugins etc.
BSPlayer only searches for FFDShow an Haali Media Splitter.

I dont know what to do :S

Thanks

And Forum Monkey: I allready have the last realtek drivers :D

Thank you

Post another test render log.

And try to use Media Player Classic.

You've done right following the wiki ;D

Hello raijinshou.

Sorry for the delay.

First of all i bought core avc pro is only 15 bugs. And attending to your suggestions i remove the BSPlayer. And now i use ZP.

Finally i was able to see The Incredible Hulk in my desktop computer and it works perfectly the only thing that i have to do was install the Haali Media Splitter that comes with CORE AVC and that was my solution.

Today i have another problem i still use the AC3Filter. My geforce 8600GT comes with an SPDIF 2 pin input to connect to the MotherBoard and now the sound and video goes trough the DVI port from the 8600GT. I want to know if i have to check on the ac3filter Use SPDIF because i'm having a little out of sync on 720p videos from my favorites series.

Thank you very much.

TAVO :D

More than likely you just did something wrong.

Today i have another problem i still use the AC3Filter. The only thing I can say is to uninstall AC3Filter and poke the settings app.
Also that doesn't sound to be related with sync issues.

I had the same problem, but the movie was Hulk that I tried to playback. (See sample) Audio does not remain in sync. It seems that there are some problems with CCCP and FFDShow when you have Vista, multicore processor and nVidia display driver. But CoreAvc with Haali Matryoshka splitter works fine. Too bad that now it might be a little difficult to get subtitles and such to work if I am not able to use CCCP anymore with my new computer.

Ok... Little reading of wiki, that CoreAvc is not much of contradicting of using of CCCP. And actually it works quite nice with CoreAvc!

I'd reinstall everything.  Maybe even do a complete reinstall of windows.  With a PC as fast as yours, you shouldn't be experiencing all of these problems.  I have the HULK 720p as well.  In order to make it play, I had to do NOTHING.  I set ZP to open in full screen mode, I click the mkv files, and they play beautifully everytime (and I have many, many 720 mkv's).  Something must have installed incorrectly or "clogged" your PC.  If you experiment with a lot of programs and decoders (it sounds like you do), try using a program like Norton Ghost and back up your computer just after you reinstall the essentials.  You can install and uninstall programs all day long without worrying too much about how they will affect evrything else.

Hah, someone else other than me is having this same issue with 1080p video in H264 format. I am in the process of switching all my Bluray rips to mpeg4 from H264 due to the horrible audio sync issues with ffdshow since VLC is the only player that doesn't suffer from the sync issues but it starts choking when playing 1080p video.

I posted about it at http://forum.videohelp.com/topic362175.html?sid=1d75c9d3bbc570907e0f4c73f015e58d too but didn't get much help.

lots of people have this problem. The solution is almost always: a) use a more efficient decoder (read: coreavc) & b) get a faster CPU. Locking old topic to prevent more necromancy. If you have a problem, please start a NEW thread.
