CCCP for Mac
« on: November 20, 2007, 01:39:43 AM »

Hey, I am a long time CCCP user on my PC, however I just purchased a MacBook Pro and was wondering if there may be a future for CCCP on Mac.  If there is already one in existence well I am dumb and cannot find it, and any help finding it would be great.

So any chance for us Mac users?

CCCP should work just fine if it has an x86 compatible CPU and you can install Windows on it.

Install Perian.  It is auto-updating and plays most everything.  Perian.org

So I can install CCCP on leopard now? or do I have to install Windows, cause that is something I'd prefer to avoid.

Thanks for that link, I'll check that out.

Or use a sufficiently advanced Windows emulator of course, as I doubt that said leopard can natively run Windows binaries and has an adequate implementation of the WinAPI (with DirectX).
For incarnations of the Mac OS we generally recommend reading this.

Perian is good because yuvi did it. mplayer is good because it's only removed from the the Base Source of All Video Decoding Solutions by one generation.
