Can we have some info.
Video cards used, how TV connected to video card, processor in computer, version of Windows, 32 or 64 bit, type of video being played including codecs used, etc.

Okay, i basicaly ignored this for a while, but now i would like to try to fix this. Video card is an MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760. It is connected to the TV through an HDMI cable. The processor is an Intel Core i7-6700 4.00 GHz. OS is Windows 7 professional 64 bit. The videos would typically be MKV files, but i'm pretty sure it happens on all file types. Codecs used are of course those provided with CCCP.

You don't need disabling dvd-drive in windows device manager, go to options->player, check 'Disable "Open Disc" menu', OK.

I fixed it by disabling dvd-drive in windows device manager. I don't use it anyways.

Is that from iTunes? I think DRMI might be short for digital rights management itunes. If so it is encrypted and indeed not supported by CCCP. I don't know of any plans to add such decryption to it.

Its a 1.4gb .m4v video. I've never had anything happen like this in the past as CCCP always seems to open any file I throw at it, until now.

I get the following error when trying to play this .m4v file:

If I click OK, the error goes away and MPC-HC opens, but the playback is just black, with no audio.

You need to download and run this tool as said in the posts above. Set everything in "Preferred decoders"  to "LAV Video" and "LAV Audio". Then "Apply & Close".

Note that there is a different problem with green screen during playback in MPC-HC. If you have that see instructions here:

WOW!!...THAT FIXED IT! YOUR AMAZING MAN!! xO Thanks for the help :D But, people on the forums where saying that they needed to change it every time they turned on they're PC...I turned my PC on & off and it was still O.K...what would be the difference if I manually changed it in the registry?
I think if you change the preferred filters or disable that subsystem of DirectShow, it will stay disabled (unless you had a backup of your registry and you then put it back).

The only difference if you did it manually would just be that you would have had to do it manually..? You take ownership of that certain registry tree, and then change stuff.

What did you change? It's not working for me?
