Please do the log again without the censoring. But before that, please do a Repair CCCP in the CCCP Settings application.

Hello there again,

ever since I installed  the new version of CCCP I've notice that only on certain files of xvid/ogg I getting this message from MPC

(click to show/hide)

And right after that the video do play but don't have sound.

it only happening to me in very rare files who seem to be relate to encode of xvid/ogg (I think)
OGG are playing fine with sound so I think it may be the xvid which don't work with your new LAV filters or need something you removed/ trun off from the Haali Splitter.

The filters who beeing used on some of these videos are:

Enhanced Video Renderer (custom presenter)
DirectVobSub (auto loading version)
LAV Video Decoder
LAV Splitter Source

And here log of the CCCP-Insurgent tool:

(click to show/hide)

I rest settings and re-resgiter the filters just to be sure.

Is there something I can do to get the sound again without to mess up my Codec settings?

Thanks

Regarding how to access dumps: https://trac.mpc-hc.org/wiki/minidumps

When I say slow response to skipping, I mean if I try move to a different part of the video, occasionally it response slowly.
When you say slowly, how slowly is it? Does the video play fine afterwards? Have you checked CPU and GPU temperatures?

It does not appear to be any particular part, just happens at random even if I go back to the parts.
It has only ever actually ever crashed once, I can't figure out where the dump file has gone.
I've tried the Beta and experience the same problem.
Thanks for your continued support

I don't believe we've fully decided the form which traditional hardsub functionally will take after we release our initial standalone XySubFilter.dll. Our original intentions were to migrate VSFilter functionality to something XySubFilter based with possible integration, but currently everything is still split to make XySubFilter development easier.
Oh, that sounds promising.  Thank you for answering!

Well xy-VSFilter in its current form will always be a separate VSFilter.dll, but I don't believe we've fully decided the form which traditional hardsub functionally will take after we release our initial standalone XySubFilter.dll. Our original intentions were to migrate VSFilter functionality to something XySubFilter based with possible integration, but currently everything is still split to make XySubFilter development easier.

This should clear your questions regarding that.

Oops.  I try to stay up to date on the madVR thread, but I must have somehow missed that post.  Thank you for your answer.

Oh, so it could be necessary if it's a raw or something like that. Good to know.

Try download the file again. A torrent client should be able to recheck the file and download the missing pieces.

All reconnection problems should be solved now.

Here is a test build based on JEEB's branch hard reset to this commit + patches
With this the problem seems to be partially fixed. Overlay Mixer doesn't seem to connect with unsupported formats during graph building anymore, and it does seem to refuse changes from the decoder side that it cannot convert. However it still accepts changes that it can convert (i.e. like switching from RGB->RGB to YV12->RGB), and the YUV->RGB conversions still result in upside-down video (without my previous patch at least). It will also refuse changing back to RGB from here when seeking back (so I got LAV video doing 4:4:4->YV12 and xy-vsfilter then YV12->RGB from that).

Additionally, in that sample (that switches from 4:4:4 1280x720 to 4:2:0 960x540) I just got black with Haali's renderer after the switch, even after seeking back to the 4:4:4 part (the resolution does always change fine and Haali's OSD works too). This might be related to it not accepting 4:2:0 input formats, though xy-vsfilter doesn't seem to (successfully) switch the output to YV12 with other renderers I could test either.
