Guys, thanks for the replies :D I think that is not the player problem, it's how the mkv muxer do. I re-encode the movie with Handbrake and the problem is gone, smooth as always, although muxing the h264 and aac is way much faster, i'll be posting a video clip regarding this issue to be more accurate.

I don't have your player so I can't give you any help with your particular situation, however I can say that hardware players like Bluray players or even TVs now a days can have hit or miss support for MKV features even when they say they officially support it. Usually they tend to have strict guidelines for the type of video/audio and subtitle formats they support and deviating a bit can cause wonky results. Check if the player has a firmware update available on Sony's site maybe they fixed some problems with MKV playback and if not then you're stuck watching on a pc if you don't want to re-encode. Sorry can't be of more help but like Namaiki said this is a forum for a codec pack for windows computers.

Sorry, but this is the support forum for the CCCP codec pack for media playback on Windows.

I can't say I have any idea how we could possibly help you with your Blu-ray player. If you were lucky, someone might have owned the same model and would have been able to help you but it seems it isn't so.

Good day everone! This is my first post :)
I have a standalone Sony S480 BDplayer that plays many video formats like mkv, it plays smooth except when skipping chapters, but this issue is resolve when i re-encode the video with Handbrake or Mux it into Mp4, but i don't want to re-encode a 6gb file, it would take forever! and i don't want mux it into Mp4 for my Bdplayer can't read internal subs in it nor show external subs (with same filename of video).
The problem with skipping chapters in Mkv is whenever i press the next on the remote the movie won't go to the next chapter, rather in starts again on the current chapter, ?? wth happen? and also to be able to chapter skip, i have to wait like 10 seconds before i press next, then the movie will proceed to the next chapter.
This could be a problem about inaccurate seek time? I don't know what to call this issue.
Please help, it's been bugging me for many months now, i can't find answer on google or other video forums (videohelp and doom9, detect my ip as spammer).
     Thank u in advance!
