Windows 7, CCCP 09-09-09, Blinking Screen, Not Working Files
« on: October 29, 2009, 05:03:32 AM »
I just installed Windows 7 and CCCP 09-09-09 release.

Well at first I had all of my videos working properly, it was very awesome. Later on, some videos started not to work, and then a few lags, and then fast forwards, missing sounds, and then blinking screen. Like something is flashing of some sort.

Well here is the Insurgent info on one of the files that is not working :)

and then blinking screen.
Do you mean the whole screen or just the video area? The former would suggest some serious driver or hardware issue.

You could try changing the video renderer there, and/or maybe running mpc-hc with admin privs, but it really sounds like something odd with the drivers.
Do you have these issues with all files now?

@Lord: Hmm... actually, the blinking screen just the video area. :) I actually think it's because of the wallpaper changing. XDDD

Alright I should try changing the video renderer. Yes, I have issues with all of the files now, but they work fine with VLC, it only errors on MPC-HC hmm... wait, admin privs. How do I do that? I'm still new to Windows 7, and I still haven't found time to configure a few things out.

And for reassurance, I'll try repair/reinstalling my video card drivers as well. =D

alright let's seem, I tried changing the video renderer first.

I changed to Overlay, and the problems are still there except the video doesn't blink anymore.
I changed to Haali Renderer, the audio doesn't disappear anymore, but the video still lags a bit, a bit bearable, but of course it's not the best quality.
I tried EVR (vista/.net) all the problems I have reported are there.
I tried the system default renderer, and it seems to have worked fine. But i have to go as far as right clicking on the DirectVobSub to change the voices. Instead of just right clicking on the screen. I can go and use this for a while, it lags a bit, but very bearable.

But of course I'd like to go back to EVER Custom Pres. **

I'll post here again if I encounter anymore problems. ^^

Thank you very much for the help so far! =DD

Could you elaborate on what you're clicking where exactly? As it sounds like something is really wrong there.

@Lord: Ah, I mean the green arrow button at task bar, instead of just right clicking on the video. XD Sorry if it was confusing

Not confusing, just still not entirely clear at all.
Maybe I should emphasize: describe all the steps you do in both cases.

Okay. =DD

So usually, in MPC in order to change the subtitles/audio, you can just right click on the video, and then go to subtitles/voices and change it right? While using my current setting, the Subtitles/Audio in the right click menu on video doesn't appear. So I have to go to my taskbar tray, and right click at the green arrow button, to change the subtitles and audio. That's it. XD

Well. I'm still sort of having a bit problems. Since more videos aren't playing, again.

I already tried reinstalling my VGA driver, but it seems like, the driver installed to my PC. Is a higher version, than the one I'm gonna install. Since it is the version compatible to Windows 7. What should I do?

-- Sorry for the late reply. :)

Reset all settings (in CCCP settings application) and www.cccp-project.net/wiki/index.php?title=DivX_H.264

No, those aren't supposed to work unless you have messed up settings.

While using my current setting, the Subtitles/Audio in the right click menu on video doesn't appear.
They should appear just as disabled (greyed) IIRC.

So I have to go to my taskbar tray, and right click at the green arrow button, to change the subtitles and audio. That's it. XD
What you're supposed to poke is the Navigate menu or those icons, as stated in the FAQ.

I already tried reinstalling my VGA driver, but it seems like, the driver installed to my PC. Is a higher version, than the one I'm gonna install. Since it is the version compatible to Windows 7. What should I do?
I didn't get the version and compatibility part, but most video drivers I've seen like to bork majorly if you do not uninstall the "old" version first anyway.
