SUBTITLE/FONT THINGY

We need to have easier way to change eye-blinding colors of some subtitle without editing the videos themselves, hope you guys consider this.

The correct solution is insulting the group who decided to use said eye-blinding colours. Otherwise, you have to edit the .ass file.

0. Rclick the video in MPC -> list everying shown under 'Filters'
1. Tools > Test Render > "problem file"
2. Tools > Media Information > "problem file"
3. Tools > CRC Check > "problem file"
4. File > Save Log > Paste the output here.

Considering it is fine, but you should consider that it means designing and coding an interface and some sane storage method for all those settings.

what about some option that will just scale the subtitles? From time to time you just need to make them bigger.
(for example, as my laptop's screen is 1050p and 15 something inches, subs are just too small for some people when not watching from a close distance like under 1m)

(I dont know, is there something like this already? I played around some time ago and I didnt find anything)

Not really, unless the subtitles are SRT. Then the vsfilter font selection override will take effect.

I don't get it.. won't the subtitles scale with the video?

uh. this is true... so turns out I dont remember exactly what the issue was O.o I just remember I wanted to make them bigger. Probably the only problem has been the 15inches-ness of the screen.

But oh well, we cant have everything :)

You already have that from Haali for SSA.
